So sorry you are going through this, but it sounds like you made the right decision. Life is hard - whenever anything bad happens to us, I always say "life is not for the weak" - stay strong, get a plan, and follow it. Life has ups and downs - one thing is for sure, IT WILL GET BETTER. Hang in there (by your fingernails if you have to). It sounds like you were already taking on the burden of the family responsibility, so you can do it.

As a side note - For the last 3 years my DD had speech, PT and a developmental specialty appt every week - it was SO hard to manage work, family life, and all the therapy. She is now 3 and gets all her therapy through a special pre-school - it is so wonderful. I know it is hard - but you will see such a difference in your child with the speech and the OT - stay with it, it pays off in the end.
