What I got out of the debate was a sense that Obama was being honest and realistic while McCain was being the typical politician.....promising us the world without looking at the realities (of course, there are people who would totally fall for that!). Obama was gracious enough to state things he agreed on with McCain and instances where McCain's policy/view/action was or is right in his view. As far as I heard the debate, (the baby was constantly interrupting!) McCain never reciprocated. My gut feeling with McCain is he is shrewd, calculating and will do/say almost anything to get the presidency. And, if he does, it will be a continuation of the last eight years, which to me, is just unthinkable! |
