Sometimes coupons have restrictive verbiage such as "one per customer", "one per transaction", "one per household", or "one per person". You need to follow that verbiage. Sometimes a cashier will try to tell you that the words "one per purchase" mean you can only use one of the coupons per transaction. It does not. It means you can only use one coupon per item you are purchasing so your scenario of three items and three coupons would be fine. Also keep in mind that the store, either at the corporate or local level, can set whatever coupon redemption policies they want. The local store may have a policy that you can only have, say, two like coupons in your transaction even though you have the proper number of coupons and items according to the terms on the coupon.
