Hi I was in my very first Publix store yesterday, and was very impressed my the manager! This store is over 40 minutes away from me, but this will be a place I go to now. I was walking around and a "employee walked by and asked was I finding everything? I said yes, but had a question "do I need a store card or anything?" (sorry had not read this thread before going). Turns out this was the store manager! He explained that I did not, and then he noticed my binder (the book goes everywhere!!). He then tells me that I will do "very well" at Publix, and that he has noticed that people who put forth a little effort useing coupons tend to do very well with the sales and such! (a manager who likes couponers!!! I have entered the promised land!!!!!) He went on his way, and then a few minutes later came back to find me and give me a coupon for a free 1/2 gallon of Publix ice cream of my choice! Now how nice was that!!! This is in Spring Hill, TN it may be a drive, but since they have the bank where my husband uses for something I thinking I can manage at least 1 trip a month guilt free for the drive...
