They should accept them. My sister works at BRU and says that if a coupon scans they have to accept it. There are rare times that a coupon is coded to work only at BRU (usually if it's for an item that TRU doesn't carry, like a specific type of baby item), and then they don't have to take them as it wouldn't not scan through.
I have, however, been to TRU a couple of times with a 15% off or $5/$25 from BRU and they tell me they aren't sure if they can accept them or not (the cashiers are not nearly as well trained on coupon policy at TRU as at BRU unfortunatley). I have always just asked if they can try it. They do, it scans, and then of course they accept it.
So, long story short, yes they are supposed to take them  HTH.
