I did the free q's when they had the mac & cheese and the trail mix on sale - it was stuff we wanted anyways, so with the freebies and the rebate I figured we came out somewhat evenish.

As for cheap fillers, I like to use the single serve popcorn bags. They are usually on sale/clearance for about .23 at my store. Also, you can check the drink/food section - a lot of times the juice is marked down. If I have munchkins with me, it's usually a nice little treat.
