One of the BEST things that AFM has that my family enjoys is the Fruit and Veggie Box. For about $23 you get around 20 pounds of fresh fruit and veggies. I can not beat this, even sale shopping. Typical items are potatoes, onions, apples, cabbage, apples, and carrots. The items do change monthly. Also, you no longer have to order the signature box just to get specials. You may order the specials by themselves. The meat only boxes are also excellent.... A word about the brands. Sometimes it is very VERY hard to tell what brand the food is. Much of it comes in plain, white or clear wrappers. However, most of the food IS PACKAGED by brands you would recognize. The pies are often Schwan's pies, though they come in a plain white box. The veggies are often Green Giant veggies, though they come in a clear wrapper. Sometimes if you read the fine print at the bottom, you will find clues to the origin. I will say that if there is a shortage of an item, they generally do substitute a like item. Also, if you are unhappy with the items, you really should call the AFM headquarters or regional office. They were out of one thing that was suppose to be in the package. They pie was melted, they butter had a horrible taste & threw that out. The meat was good that came with it.
