Ok, I know as couponers we can get taco seasoning practically for free after coupon. But that stuff is so full of sodium and all sorts of bad for you stuff and it really is not that hard to make your own. When you do it homemade you know exactly what is is your taco seasoning and if you are adventurous you can play with the ingredients to suit your tastes. If you like it a little more spicy, add more cayenne pepper. Love cumin? Add more. I personally love cumin and add more tom mine, plus a little crushed red pepper flakes (saved packets from pizza delivery!) to add some extra heat.
Here is a great recipe from http://www.myfabulousrecipes.com/ to get you started!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon oergano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
(optional) 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepepr
Directions:
In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Store in an airtight container or ziplock.

That sounds good! Thanks!
Thank you for the recipe! Recently made Ranch seasoning and am going to try to make a few more of my own seasoning mixes instead of the sodium loaded store bought versions!
