Peroxide is the best window & Mirror cleaner. A few years ago I got an email from my grandmother – “Depression Cleaning” she had writen all kinds of cheap clean tricks in this letter for her family! Peroxide is 79cents a bottle -it has all kinds of other great uses as well!!
I’m a sucker for all things frugal just like gianakas3. I’d use air freshner as an air freshner and not as a window cleaner. It may smell pleasant but it’s not something that will last long anyways.
Here’s a recipe for homemade glass cleaner that I’ve been using for a long time – works so well and goes a long way:
2/3 cup rubbing alcohol
1/4 cup ammonia
24 oz. (3 cups) water
